When it comes to creating great cocktails at home, our El Platino Blanco and La Rosa Reposado are the perfect tequilas to center around delicious ingredients! Each of these tequilas brings a very different profile of taste and flavor that can easily be enhanced by selecting the right additions to your own creative beverage. This is why we have created a helpful guide recommending when and what to use at home!
Flavor Profile-Clean, smooth and crisp. Notes of citric, pepper, sweet agave and vanilla.
Keep your cocktail creations simple. Let the tequila compliment a few ingredients (3 is a great bench mark) as to not over power. One to one ratios with a splash of spicy or savory also work great! (such as a jalapeno margarita - Fresh Lime Juice, sliced Jalapeno and El Platino Silver)
El Platino is naturally sweet, so complimenting this flavor with sour citric, refreshing herbs and/or spicy peppers is perfect!
Use either 1.5 oz or 2 oz of El Platino per cocktail accounting to how strong you wish to make it.
Recommended Ingredients- Any citric fruit (limes, oranges, lemon, pineapples..etc), Spicy peppers ( jalapeno, serrano, habanero..etc), fresh herbs ( mint, basil, oregano, cilantro..etc), cucumber, sweet and sour mix, club soda, orange juice, pomegranate juice, lemonade, soda ( only use light soda such as sprite).
Aged three months in premium French red wine Bordeaux barrels.
Flavor Profile-Sweet, Complex, floral. Notes of chocolate, berry, vanilla, with a kiss of fine vintage wine.
La Rosa Reposado is perfect for creative and complex cocktails. Being a very dynamic yet smooth flavor gives way to complement multiple ingredients. Don’t be scared to use savory and sweet ingredients together! A smoked chipotle margarita using fresh peppers, agave nectar, mango and fresh lime would be a great example!
La Rosa also pairs perfectly with orange liquors such as Gran Mariner or Triple Sec.
Use either 1.5 oz or 2 oz of La Rosa Reposado per cocktail accounting to how strong you wish to make it.
Sweet Ingredients - Any fruit juices, agave nectar, brown sugar, coconut milk, fruit flavored liquors, chocolate, carmels, pink lemonade, soda (fruit flavored perfably), sweet and sour mix.
Savory ingredients -Fresh herbs (basil, cilantro, oregano, sage) , spices (chipotle, cayenne pepper, paprika..etc), smoky flavors (maybe smoked bacon in a bloody maria!), seasoned salts, bitters, and hot peppers (jalapeno, serrano, habanero..etc).
